SOLID STURDY FRAME. STEEL IS REAL. Vintage Nishiki bike unassembled. I took the bike apart to paint it and purchased several new parts. I ended up just buying a new bike instead of rebuilding it. The frame is around a size small(I am 5'6' and is a reddish/orange color. The frame is straight and in pretty good shape with a few small blemishes.

The tires are brand new and I am including new bullhorn handlebars I purchased on ebay. Brand new front and rear unlabeled Tektro brakes(as well as one original Dia-Comp caliper with a blue short brake lever) and brand new Tektro brake levers. I am also including the original front and rear derailers and friction downtube shifters(might be missing a few screws for them however) The new rear brake that I purchased was too short due to the frame being vintage and requiring a long pull caliper so I purchased an aluminum extender. That I am including. Or the original Dia-Comp brake could be placed on the back and one of the new calipers could be used for the front. Bike is sold as is and will require assembly and a few extra parts here and there.

Perfect bike to easily convert to a single speed or fixed. I put $75 for shipping to be safe. I will refund any extra shipping money left over as I'm sure it will vary due to location and fees. I am not trying to make any extra money on shipping.

Looking for a one of a kind'head turner' vintage bicycle? This NISHIKI OLYMPIC 12 may be the one! Produced in the 1980s this is a unique piece of the Japanese bicycle nostalgia. NISHIKI was one of the major contributors to the'bike boom' in the USA and introduced several racing/road bicycle models to the American public. This particular bicycle was designed and engineered in Japan and it proudly displays country of origin sticker on its frame! The bike appears to have all original components.

All made in Japan and features such well known brands as SunTour and SUGINO. The frame paint is in great shape for its age with only some minor scratches here and there that don't affect overall appearance and can be easily masked with touch up paint. The frame decals and stickers are like new. The chrome parts are shining bright. Overall and have only some tiny rust spots in the hard to reach areas that are easily removable with 00 steel wool. This bike rides. Shifts and brakes very well and has been checked by a professional mechanic, however it is recommended that the new owner do additional tune up to bring it in line with his/her weight and riding habits before being ready to hit the road.

A rare Nishiki Tri-A Equipe(57cm) This is a collectors dream to find such a handsome and beautiful bicycle. The Tri-A series bike was the top of the line road bike hand made by Kawamura from Japan. Using Tange 1 tubing(lugged steel) It was light and responsive with a tight geometry to match. You merely think about where you want to head to and like a obidient thouroughbred, takes you to your destination, in a hurry. If I didn't know any better it has a mind of its own. How many Equipe models have you seen lately if ever?

This has Shimano 7 speed Sante shifters. The rest was Shimano 600(Ultegra) 6400. That is they way they spece'd it. I thought it was a mix up but looking at the catalog. It is correct.

I would have opted for full Sante' but it. Is what it is. The rear cable routing is in the top tube(internal) The lugs are refined and not over the top. The sloping fork crown is nice. The paint and decals are in great condition.

A 9.5 out of ten. Not mint but close.

Hello, Just this pulled out of storage in such incredible condition. Light scratches are the most severe damage to this bike and the few i spotted appear to be storage induced. Bike has MINIMAL WEAR and looks to have hardly been used!

Bike looks all original to me with the exception of new upgraded parts(saddle. Handlebar tape, front rack, tires) Had a professional bike mechanic go over the bike and the only thing he recommended replacing was the front tire as it's began to crack from dry storage! The bike functioned flawlessly and did not need work. Must of been tuned before put away or never even needed a tune up! I purchased this bike at an estate sale and it is being sold'as is' It is a Nishiki 4130 Chrome Moly(as stated on the bike) The seat is Avocet. The cables are Suntour as are other parts. The Brake handles are Dia Compe 500. Sugino pedals and an accessory probably for recording distance by Cateyemate.

There is some surface rust here and there and on the chain. It also comes with a sheepskin cover for the seat.

The bike was licensed on Maui in Hawaii in 1985. The size of the wheels with the tires is 26' The distance from the ground to the top of the seat is 40' and the distance from the ground to the top of the frame is 34' I will be happy to take the bike to a local bike shop to prepare it for shipping which I think can be done through UPS or Greyhound. This is a very cool vintage Nishiki Olympic 12 Road Bike. Featuring generator lights and new Kevlar reenforced tires.

The bike is road ready. The sizing for the bike is what I would call a medium-large. The seat tube measures 23' 58cm) the head tube is 6 1/4' 15.5cm) the down tube is 25' 63.5cm) and the stand over is 33 1/2' 85cm) The seat post has been upgraded from the original with a Strong alloy that adjusts with an Allen wrench. The bike will accept a rack on the front or back. There are two points to attache accessories like an air pump or water bottle holder which one is included with bike. The rims are aluminum with new 27' x 1 1/4' Forte' Strada K, Kevlar reenforced tires. The pedals are original.

The seat is a Selle'Hyper Plush' very comfortable. The seat has a little bit of wear at one.

Of the back edges but overall it is in very good shape. The light generator is a type that mounts under the frame and engages the rear wheel at the same area that the tires meet the road. I find this to be a better setup than those generators that contact the side of the tire. The setup is a German product. The rear lights bulb is out and can be purchase online. The front light works fine.

The handle bars have new tape and included also is a bell to warn pedestrians of your approach. The brakes are Dia-Compe side pull calipers. I have taken many pictures of the bike so you should have good idea of what you are buying. The bike rides excellent and Nishiki is known for being a quality bike. The Cro-Moly frame is very strong and much better than aluminum frames at absorbing road shock.

There are numerous nicks, scratches and chips in the paint but overall it looks pretty good. There are no dents or frame damage of any kind. The bike has wear and tear common to used road bikes. The bottom bracket has been repacked, the wheels, front and rear derailleur's, and all the cabling have been serviced so it is road ready. Could use a truing, but hubs and freehub are silky smooth. Hubs have been relaced, so they show spoke wear.

6400 Groupset- STI shifters are nice with great chrome and levers. Nice hoods, and average nameplates. Crankset(172.5 39/53) front der have great logos but rings and cage show typical wear. Rear cassette(13-23) is solid. Rear derailleur logo is clear, but some scratches. Brakes look nice and bolts have minimal rust. Chain(HG-91) still has plenty of life left.

Handlebar/headset- Cinelli Eubios 42cm with new tape. Cinelli quill stem 120mm. Scratches and minor bolt rust. Ritchey headset is new. The paint has numerous scrapes, and honestly looks worse in person than in the pictures. In fact, practically everything looks better in the pictures than in person. It was found in a storage unit and doesn’t appear to have been used in years. It will need a minimum of a good cleaning. Lubrication, brake pads, tubes, saddle, etc.

This is rare have been looking for one since mid 80s when I picked up, way before the web was invented.Still cant find any info on it but made for Japan and not exported. State of the art lighting system with winker and dual head lamps one set runs on battery which gets charge from gen and othe set runs only when generator ingaged. Back tail lite not wired up but all there as light but wire must have got torn off, connections there but wire missing and what I can tell it was a LED way before its time has a circuit board hook up and a flash light type bulb as the other light. Lighting control mounts to handlebars with winker and speed indicator all workinging all stock with orginal tires that are 35 years old with new tires tires show age on side way but dont have the heart to change.

Shifts and rides great low hours on bike I would say. Bought mid80s from neigbor that was stationed in Japan and cant recall exact age of bike. Please email question Kawamura should but this back its one awsome time capsule.

The paint is glossy and the mechanics are clean. The yellow brake covers are a little gummy. I touched up a few of the tiny dibits by masking and spraying the affected areas. This is something that we normally don't deal in but we've had several bikes around the shop for several years and it's time to free up some space and allow some genuine enthusiasts to enjoy these bikes. You're buying a NISHIKI Custom Sport bike that's been converted to a fixie.

This was the pride and joy of it's builder who's health issues prevented him from getting to ride it. We measure the bike to be 58cm. It has 27' x 1-1/4' wheels. Steel frame, center pull brakes, and many custom alloy parts.

It rides super smoothly. The owner seems to have replaced the crankset. Bottom bracket, chain, cables, tires, bars, seat, wheels, and brakes. The bike has been sitting unused for several years. So unfortunately the tire sidewalls are cracking even though the tire tread itself shows virtually no wear. They hold air and the bike can be ridden but we'd recommend replacing the tires.

The frame would benefit from a repaint as well, it has lots of nicks and scratches which were there before the owner began the upgrades. We've never shipped bikes before and frankly don't know how and prefer not to. It would take some obvious disassembly and seems like it would too easily lend itself to shipping damage.
