Windows 98 Pong Game

Hello,A few weeks ago, I moved back home, and came across a collection of old CD's I used to play when I was a kid. We tried running them on both a Windows 10, and Windows 7 PC. Which I suppose I should have known wouldn't work. But even after troubleshooting, no dice. This is stuff like, the Creatures collection (Norns), Mist/Trivial science games, original EA Harry Potter titles before they sucked, and Knights of the Old republic. Awesome, fun old games. The discs originally ran primarily on Windows 98/95.Stuff I tried included:-Changing the disc drive settings to 'always run/run only'-Running the discs as administrator-Setting the disc compatibility in Disc Properties, to Windows XP-Running the Microsoft/built in Disc compatibility troubleshooterI've found several videos with instructions on how to install software that runs Windows 98 onto your disc drive.

I have installed an emulator before, but the thing is, the process seems more complex, I don't want to eff up my disc drive.Successfully getting these CDs to run would be a huge victory for me right now, and I could really use a victory. So I'd be really grateful if anyone could answer any of the following about this process:.Is there a standardized software out there to do it? Or does it just depend on who you ask. What are the risks?.Should I have a background in CS, or should I know basic programming before I attempt this?.And finally, is it better to do this on a Windows 7, or Windows 10 PC? I figure the older the system the better.I currently want to use my Windows 7 Acer laptop as a guinea pig. It has 450 GB of memory, an Intel Celeron processor, and a 64 bit operating system. Thanks in advance.

With Winulator, a bunch of Windows 95 and Windows 98 games were able to run on the Android operating system. The diamond is still a rough one here, and it will definitely take time to be polished up.

Happy Quarantining. While the computer is off, try holding the F2 and 'DEL' key.
